Harbour Link Container Services Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and a leading provider of drayage and off dock services at the Vancouver Gateway to the import/export container shipping community.

We are a looking to fill a permanent full time position for a Dispatcher located in Delta BC.

The successful candidate must be highly motivated and an enthusiastic self-starter able to work in a fast paced environment with a keen eye focused on detail and accuracy.

The candidate must be fluent in English, both written and verbal and have excellent communications skills.

Proficient computer skills are a pre-requisite requirement for this position along with experience with MS Office programs.

Pre-employment screening is mandatory and will include a Criminal background check as the Company is a Certified (PIP) Partner in Protection with (CBSA) Canada Border Services Agency.

Previous trucking/drayage experience is an asset but not essential as consideration will be given to all applicants with knowledge based work experience, positive attitude, and a desire to build a career in transportation and logistics.

Duties Include:

  • Planning and performing the dispatch of trucks using Computer Dispatch
  • Setting dispatch priorities to optimize performance
  • Verifying and reconciling data entry
  • Responding to customer inquiries
  • Liaising closely with colleagues and customers of evolving changes to the dispatch plan

This is a salaried position and remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
